Sex Scandal on the June 21, 2008 Episode of Imbestigador

A  segment in the June 21, 2008 episode of Imbestigador talked about a sex scandal involving five college guys and a girl who “doesn’t seem to be in a right state of mind.” This cellphone video is spreading fast via bluetooth, and the girl in question has been suffering taunts and nasty glances from everybody in her school and neighborhood.

 

The story goes like this:The girl whom I will call Tanya (because I forgot the name Imbestigador gave her) was invited by a girl classmate to go drinking together with her boyfriend and four of his friends. That was Valentine’s Day of this year. They went to the house of one of the guys, and Tanya got really drunk.

 

She said she was lead to a room where the was a cushion on the floor, and she did’nt remember anything else. She said she recalled having people assist her to vomit in the garage (whether it was the guy’s house or her house, I don’t know)and then her sister washed her up and put her to bed.

 

At 1 am she woke up and went to the bathroom. She felt a sharp pain in her privates as she urinated.

 

The next day, her girl classmate told her “Ginusto mo rin namn yung nangyari eh.”(You also wanted what happened.) Tanya asked, “What happened?” but it was not explained to her, and she was told any video of the event was already erased.

 

And then, the video started spreading and people started asking her if she was the girl on the video.

 

Of course, she had no choice but to tell her parents the truth.

 

In some parts of the video that Imbestigador had shown, there was a lot of laughing and heckling amoung the guys while one was having intercourse on the cushion on the floor with Tanya. Whether she was actively participating, or simply laid there unaware of what’s happening, I don’t know, since I’ve never seen it and don’t intend to watch it anyway. I’m guessing in the video the guys took turns wth her, and although she was conscious, she says she does not remember anything about the incident.

 

Now, first things first: Young ladies, YOU DON’T GO AROUND DRINKING WITH FIVE GUYS YOU HAVE JUST MET, IN A PRIVATE PLACE. That was Tanya’s first mistake. She went with a girl classmate who was not even her close friend, and went to the house of a stranger.

 

Second, if you do go around drinking with five guys you have just met in a private place, YOU DON’T GO DRINKING TOO MUCH TILL YOU GET DEAD DRUNK THAT INTOXICATED TEENAGE BOYS CAN EACH HAVE A GO AT YOU WITHOUT YOU EVEN KNOWING. In the episode, Tanya said she remembered the others just giving her shots and what pisses me off is that she just kept taking them.

 

Now, it’s not that I don’t symphatize with Tanya. It was a horrible thing that happened to her—first being gang raped, and then the rape video being spread (and those sick perverts enjoy watching a crime in action.) Her life was ruined that she had to stop studying and people she know view her a slut. But those things wouldn’t have happened if she had made better decisions.

 

Now, another one who’s going to get my wrath is that girl classmate whose boyfriend is one of the five guys in the video. Whether he raped Tanya or just stood there watching, or even took the video is beyond me, but how could a girl with a good head on her shoulders allow her boyfriend to participate in a gang rape, and then later tell the victim that she “wanted what happened?” Shouldn’t she be screaming her head off with the shame her boyfriend did? Shouldn’t she, as a woman, have put a stop to the perversion occuring in that bedroom? Where was she?Dead drunk as well? Then why wasn’t she on the video being devoured by those pigs? Or was she the one taking the video?

 

What are kids doing with their lives these days?

 

Now, to the five guys, somehow I couldn’t blame them even though they are facing criminal charges and they have behaved so disgustingly. If you were a guy and a girl you just met came drinking with you and your friends, what would you think of that girl?Wouldn’t you think she was easy? Wouldn’t you think this girl probably wanted some? And say, that girl kept taking shots you gave her, to the point that she’s numb to the cops and feels your friends had been inconspicously doing, wouldn’t you think that she would probably do anything?as in anything?

 
And to those who watched and passed that disgusting video to their friends to be a source of amusement, shame on you! How could you look at an ongoing rape and view that as entertainment? Is that what these stupid pussycat dolls songs putting into your heads?That everything is about sex, sex, sex?

 

 To all girls out there who are reading this, remember that you have a responsibility to protect yourself.
