…in the Philippines today, and international teachers’ day last October 5th, I’m breaking my one-post-a-week rule to give a loud Hurray to the teachers of the world!
I used to stab with my pen, now I soothe with my words.—-Kat Carneo, from

The achievements of my students, whether a big leap or a small step, give me the satisfaction I have never gotten from anywhere else. Their funny stories make me laugh, their simple words make me smile, and their voices melt my heart.–Kat Carneo from : ) April 23, 2007
This is why teachers remain as teachers even if they aren’t as highly paid as all other professionals. Teaching is not just a job but commitment, it is not a task but a mission. And this mission is centered on love.—Kat Carneo from : ) April 23, 2007
Very patient, and that made me think of my unremembered preschool teacher. Perhaps he or she had the same patience–and more. And above all, I think the most important thing is the love for students, and the desire for them to learn. Maybe my preschool teacher desired for me to learn even if I was a world-class brat. And because of that, I did, without even knowing it. My teacher set the foundation that made me a good student (ahem!) in the years to come.—Kat Carneo, from Teachers and Tomorrow April 24, 2006
And now, I think I should put it in my heart that my role in this world is as equally-important as any other million-dollar brain surgeon or the president of the United States—I affect the thinking of my students, I influence lives, I set the foundation.–Kat Carneo, from Teachers and Tomorrow April 24, 2006
To these teachers who have greatly influenced my life, thank you:

teachers.. i miss them. lalo na ung mga time na tinutulugan ko sila habang naglecture. yung mga time na barkada ko lang sila pag nasa labas, yung time na pag bagsak ako sa quizzes mag remedial ako, yung time na tuwang tuwa ako pag nagagalit sila. napakacompassionate talaga ng mga teachers kahit alam nila lahat ng kalokohan ng mga estudyante todo pasensya pa rin sila para lang mabigyan ng mgandang edukasyon ang mga kabataan.
happy teachers day kat!
aha. isa ka pala sa mga sakit ng ulo ng mga kawawang guro…..

I remember back in gradeschool, I always give flowers to my teachers during teacher’s day. Yung nabibili lang sa sidewalk sa labas ng skul ha. hehe. If money was not an option, I’d probably be a gradeschool teacher. Happy teacher’s day, Kat!
i used to do that, too. i remember some fake roses made of foam sold in front of the school i attended every teachers’ day and our teachers would get loads of those!

I have a deep respect for grade school teachers. They provide a long lasting impact on young people. Just like they say, the strength of a house is in its foundation. I couldn’t agree more
Happy Teacher’s Day !
thanks!
